Although you won't see many new-model Toyota Hilux in dealerships, you might still be seeing them out on the roads. Toyota in general has a reputation for being long-lasting to the point of being indestructible. Many drivers have experienced this firsthand with their own Toyotas, and we're sure that drivers from Klamath Falls, Altamont, Medford, and Grants Pass could agree.

But the hosts from BBC's hit show Top Gear didn't quite have enough time to test the durability of Toyota over 20 years. So instead, they got a hold of a 1988 diesel Toyota Hilux, and decided to put it through 20 years of abuse over the course of a couple days.

The truck got washed out to sea, dropped, hit with a wrecking ball, run into a tree, even lit on fire. But, consistently, with nothing but basic tools and no spare parts, the Toyota roared to life and drove on.

Watch the video clip below to see the final act to try to take down the Hilux, and see whether or not it survives!
